Step 3: Consolidate (Phase II)
Research is over. Now it's time to consolidate all findings, analyse them and derive key insights within the Consolidate Workshop. Later, the team prepares the presentation of their findings to make sure these are carried forward.

1. Purpose
Consolidating the results of an exploration project can take many forms, and depends heavily on the focus of the exploration. First, all documented results of the planned research activities are presented; they are then assessed, positioned and consolidated. For market-driven playgrounds that required customer interviews — for example, to gain a better understanding of customer and user groups — this might mean a behaviour-based analysis of needs in the form of a target group matrix (see Exploring Customers & Users). If the behaviour and needs of customers and users, and with them the different target groups, were already known beforehand, the exploration may instead have focused on gaining a better understanding of competition and market. In that case the analysis centres on positioning competitors and estimating market sizes (see Exploring Competitors and Exploring Markets). The aim of this phase is to bring together the insights gained and prepare them in a form that can be presented to the sponsor and used as inspiration in later phases — in an ideation workshop, for example.

3. Key Activities
Share insights: In the Consolidation Workshop, the Project Team shares all their findings and insights. Each research area is reviewed.
Analyse findings: Based on their findings they start to analyse and consolidate their findings (e.g. through an Insights matrix & Golfen Nuggets, Target Groups matrix, Competitors Landscape and so on).
Prepare presentation and present findings: The team defines how to present their results in a visual way (e.g. poster for their Target Groups matrix or Customer & User Cards, Power Points, etc.) and present it to their Sponsor.
